Dee Wilson, Director of Training and Social Media Marketing
Dee Wilson started in multi-family property management in 2005 after assisting with the startup of the TN Education Lottery between the years of 2003-2005. She studied advertising, marketing and public relations at Middle Tennessee University while working in property management, where she fell in love with this industry and decided to make it her career.
Dee accepted a position with First Management as the marketing and leasing director at Gazebo Apartments where she assisted in the marketing and re-branding of Gazebo during a multi-million dollar renovation. She assisted with training team members both at her community and others before being offered the Director of Training position with Freeman Webb in February 2017.
Dee has been a part of the Greater Nashville Apartment Association Board of Directors since 2018. Dee is a Management Director for the Greater Nashville Apartment Association and Co-chair of the education committee. Dee trained and assisted during a software conversion from Real page to Yardi Systems for the entire company and most recently assisted with the rebranding of Freeman Webb. She is a certified trainer with the Association for Talent Development, an NAA Education faculty member, and a certified trainer through Franklin Covey.
Catie Lane Bailey, Policy Advisor/Attorney
Catie Lane Bailey has earned a reputation as one of the best young government relations attorneys in Tennessee. A registered lobbyist, Catie Lane represents and advises clients on legislative and public policy matters before the Tennessee General Assembly, local governments, and various state and local agencies. A hardworking and driven advocate for clients, Catie Lane began her public policy career as a Congressional intern for Senator Lamar Alexander while she was still an undergraduate. Catie Lane understands the legislative process from start to finish and has effective working relationships throughout the Tennessee statehouse and the executive branches of state and local government.
Catie Lane takes pride in being part of the history that is made in Tennessee, and she is an integral part of a team that represents more than two dozen clients before the Tennessee General Assembly on a range of issues.
Catie Lane monitors and tracks proposed state legislation and regulations of interest to Waller government relations clients, and she reviews proposed amendments to identified bills that could impact clients. Her successful track record of promoting, opposing or amending specific legislation and administrative rulemaking proceedings for clients is built on long-standing bipartisan relationships with lawmakers and their staffs on both sides of the political aisle.
Catie Lane represents clients from a wide range of industries with an equally wide range of interests. She has also gained extensive experience with specific industry segments. She is the go-to lobbyist for the multi-family housing industry in Tennessee, representing owners and developers throughout the state. Catie Lane is also a leading lobbyist for companies entering the nascent Tennessee sportsbook industry following the 2018 Supreme Court decision that opened the door to legal sports betting. Education and education policy are also key areas of focus for Catie Lane’s government relations and lobbying practice. Additionally, Catie Lane oversees the regulatory and compliance work for political action committees established or operated by Waller clients.
